Karen Hamblett

Karen Hamblett is an Integretive Counsellor who trained in Psychosynthesis Psychotherapy and graduated in 1995. She has also studied Gestalt therapy, psychosexual therapy, couples counselling and family systems therapy, specialising in Family Constellations.

Having gained experience in a variety of settings and working with individuals, couples and groups, Karen has the ability to combine various psychotheraputic skills to work on a wide range of clinical issues. She uses a number of approaches appropriate to the clientΚΌs needs and is prepared to see clients over different lengths of time, from one-off assessment and onward referral if thought appropriate, to short-term or longer term counselling.

Specialist perspectives are self-esteem issues, sexuality, sex, health related or work related difficulties, loss and bereavement, depression, anger, addiction, stress and anxiety, trauma, abuse, family and relationship difficulties.

Karen will support the client in whatever way facilitates their healing and welcomes individuals or couples. She has experience with a wide variety of backgrounds and cultures and believes at the heart of therapy is the relationship, a place of support, challenge and encouragement.

She also facilitates Family Constellation groups and personal growth groups and can help with life skills and personal development.

Karen is a member of BACP who abides by its code of ethics and has regular supervision.
