Julia Oji

Julia is a qualified acupuncturist and registered Member of the British Acupuncture Council.

She has been practising Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) since 1994, training initially in tui na (Chinese massage therapy) in London and Nanjing China before going on to be awarded a Licentiate in Acupuncture from the London College of Traditional Acupuncture. Julia combines acupuncture and tui na in many of her treatments, using the two therapies in a complementary way.

In addition to running private practices in Canterbury and London, Julia is a passionate teacher and has been a TCM lecturer and clinic coordinator since 2000, having helped to establish one of the UK’s first Tui Na Diploma courses.

Julia is also a qualified practitioner of the Vodder method of manual lymphatic drainage (MLD) and registered Member of MLDuk.

As a result of her interest in the lymphatic system, she trained as an instructor in Tripudio Movement, a rehabilitation exercise programme aimed at individuals suffering from primary or secondary lymphoedema, as well as those with low mobility, chronic fatigue syndromes, arthritic conditions and post-operatively after cancer or cardiac surgeries.

Last but not least, Julia has been a yoga teacher (British Wheel of Yoga trained) for many years and has specialised in perinatal yoga (Birthlight) since 2001.
