Andy Wood

I have always wondered that there must be more to life than we see, walking this path has been an experience to understanding this. As a youth rebelling against authority there came a time I had to contemplate my actions. My night dreams were the only place I could find a gateway to other realities.
After many years of wandering I moved to Brighton in 2001 and found shamanism, within two months I was in the sonara desert of Mexico. I travelled the world to study with Indigenous healers where I learnt how to enter a state of dreaming in order to connect with spirit. Learning to dream is at the heart of Shamanism, to become the dreamer who dreams our-self is the practice that will take us through all the lessons that Shamanism has to offer.
I have learnt Thai massage with LSTM in London and also have trained in Thailand learning massage, Thai herbal bundles and the Gua Sha system which means scraping sand.

My adventures have taken me to India, Nepal, North and South America, Mongolia and Peru. In Mongolia I bought a Russian motorbike and travelled across the wilderness for a 1000-km to the darkhad depression, a remote region where the Dukha people or "Reindeer people" live, to meet their shamans and discover how they work in the community. This made me realise that in order to travel and live close to the land I would need to be able to survive in nature. So I began to learn bushcraft skills, where I have undergone a four day survival quest in the French Pyrenees.
It is the spirit of the land that has been at the core of the teachings of all the places that I have travelled too. It is the land and plants that I have a passion about bringing us and our future generations closer to. I have recently moved to Canterbury after living in Sussex for 12 years, where I had been teaching Shamanism and running a Healing Practice.
